This is my favorite Greek place, the food is plentiful, it's tasty, and made with love. About $14 for a combo (gyro, drink, and fries), I personally get it with just Feta and the Gyro meat. I first discovered Athens around 2012, and then moved, but I make it a point to come here whenever I can!

We were in the area and just searched for restaurants when i realized I had been craving Greek, so we gave it a try. I was caught off guard when I opened the door and felt like I walked into a British phone booth. It's not super exciting inside, but it was quiet and easy to talk. It's an order-at-the-counter kind of place, which don't mind at all, but the food came out on disposable plates and trays reminiscent of McDonalds. Not that I've been there in the last 20 yrs. The food came out quickly, and it was fresh. I had a chicken pita wrap with fries. The fries where OK. They had seasoning on them, but I couldn't really taste it. It might have just been me. My husband had some kind of plate. He had fresh pita, salad, chicken and fries. We didn't leave hungry that's for sure. It's on the corner of a large plaza so it's easy to find and there's plenty of parking if you're in the area and have a craving.

Now, sure, it’s not some glitzy, five-star fine dining place, and that’s exactly what makes it special. The new management is doing their absolute best to keep up the authentic, simple, and very tasty Greek food we’ve loved for years. And hey, if there’s ever a hiccup, just talk to them—they’re super accommodating. No need to drop a bad review when a friendly chat will do. All in all, Athens Restaurant is that kind of place where you walk in and feel like family, enjoy a hearty meal that hits the spot, and leave with a smile. They definitely deserve five stars in our book!

This place is a little gem and we simply got only a gyro salad. It was extremely tasty and the pita bread was so warm. A very lovely place. It’s worth checking out!!

900th review here :) I recently discovered this place and I’m so glad I did! The portions are huge, the gyro meat is fresher than at other places in the area (not as dry as you can find em), the seasonings to the fries and salad are also on point. The one thing I will say is that I wish the plate came with a side of sauce like the gyro did , but that’s something I know I can ask for in the future! Absolutely love Athens, Greece (pic for proof ☺️) and Athens Greek Restaurant in Roswell!
